Since the Market street elevation needed to reflect the historic commercial structures on the opposite side of the street, I closed the building off on that side using traditional forms and materials. The public interaction spaces were along the Market side, with entrances for each office along the street. The center of the building contains an atrium and a gallery that would contain exhibits about Chattanooga and Hamilton County. On the parking side, I layered the building core and had a central entrance. |
